Overview
Charge at home. Drive with confidence.
Professional EV charger installation in Seattle and across the Eastside. We wire 240-volt Level 2 home chargers — Tesla Wall Connector, ChargePoint, JuiceBox, Grizzl-E — so your car charges overnight and you wake up to a full battery.
When you bring home an EV, the dealership hands you a Level 1 cord that plugs into a regular outlet — and then you find out it adds about four miles of range per hour. That's not a charger; that's a trickle. A proper EV charger installation in Seattle means wiring a 240-volt Level 2 circuit so your car charges overnight and you wake up to a full battery.
We've installed home chargers across the Greater Seattle area — Tesla Wall Connectors, ChargePoint Home Flex, JuiceBox, Grizzl-E, and the universal NEMA 14-50 outlets that work with any portable EVSE. Whatever brand you bought (or are planning to), we can get it wired right the first time.
Mad Dog Electric is a licensed and bonded electrical contractor based in Washington. Every install is permitted, inspected by L&I, and warrantied. No subcontractors, no surprise fees, no "we'll need to come back tomorrow."
Why Mad Dog
Level 2 pulls 7.2–11.5 kW versus 1.4 kW for a standard outlet — full charge overnight instead of all weekend.
Tesla Wall Connector, ChargePoint Home Flex, JuiceBox, Grizzl-E, Emporia, or a universal NEMA 14-50. We've installed them all.
Real load calc during the site visit. We'll tell you straight if your panel can handle it or needs an upgrade first.
Every install gets an L&I electrical permit and inspection. We pull it, schedule it, and meet the inspector ourselves.
The Mad Dog Guarantee
How It Works
Free in-person or video site visit. We look at your panel, the run, and the unit you have (or want) to give you a real quote.
We pull the L&I electrical permit and schedule the install — usually within a week of quote acceptance.
Most single-charger installs are done in a half day. We run wire, install the unit, and test under load before we leave.
We meet the L&I inspector — you don't have to be there. Then we walk you through using your charger.
Real Pricing
Honest range for a typical Level 2 install in the Seattle area. Where you land depends on the run length, drilling, and panel work.
Simple install
$800 – $1,200
Panel inside garage, charger 10 feet away
Average install
$1,400 – $1,900
50–60 ft run, some drilling, hardwired smart charger
Complex install
$2,000 – $2,800+
Long run, finished walls, or sub-panel needed
The unit itself is separate ($400–$700 typical). If your panel is at capacity and needs to be upgraded to 200 amp first, expect to add $2,500–$4,500 for that work — we always quote both pieces clearly.
Permits & Code
Every EV charger circuit installation in Washington requires an L&I electrical permit and an inspection. Skipping the permit can void homeowner's insurance and cause issues at sale — we always pull it as part of the standard service. Federal tax credits for residential EV charger installs are still available through the IRS; we'll give you an itemized invoice so your accountant has what they need.
