Mad Dog Electric officially opened its doors in September 2025 — but the experience behind it goes back much further. Founder David Butylev has worked in construction since he was 17, racking up more than 15 years in carpentry, excavation, flooring, tile, and just about every trade on a job site before settling into electrical work. That ground-up background is why he sees a home as one connected system, not just a panel on the wall.

Today, Mad Dog Electric is a licensed, bonded, and insured Washington electrical contractor with a seven-person team serving Seattle, the Eastside, and Snohomish County. From EV chargers in Bellevue to panel and service upgrades in Kirkland, knob-and-tube rewires in older Seattle homes to lighting and new construction across the region — we bring the same standard to every job.
